Belonging
Every child and family is welcomed, valued and supported, with their culture and identity honoured.
Our story
Storybrooke is a small, owner-run community built on connection, trust and care. It's run by Linda and Charbel, and it began around their kitchen table.
Linda's dream started in her early days of teaching kindergarten. After years on the playground, in education coordinator roles and working with families from many backgrounds, she saw that parents need care and reassurance as much as their children do. Storybrooke is built around that idea.
“A place where children feel safe, families feel welcomed and educators are valued.”

Hi, my name is Linda and I'm the founder here at Storybrooke Education School of Early Learning in Brookvale.
Storybrooke was a dream, a vision that I had from my very, very early days of teaching kindergarten. After many years on the playground, many years in education coordinator roles and many years with non-English-speaking parents, I realised that parents need that support too, not only their children.
My vision here is that we're not just looking after the children, we're looking after their parents and what they want. If your child is one or under one year old, they don't know what's happening. They put their full trust in their parent to make the right decision for them. So a parent needs to feel the comfort, the understanding, the knowledge and the vision.
A lot of parents who come in tell me they don't want to hear just about our curriculum, although that's my passion. They want to know that their children are going to be hugged, loved and looked after in those very delicate first years of their life.
So just book a tour, and I would love to show you and your family around Storybrooke.
A letter from Linda and Charbel
Storybrooke began around our kitchen table, with three little girls, big imaginations and one simple idea: to create a place that feels just like home.
After 16 years working as a primary school teacher, I kept coming back to the same belief: children truly thrive when they feel safe, understood and genuinely cared for.
As parents, we know how big those early years feel. The first drop-offs, the new routines, the little hands letting go. It should feel gentle, reassuring and filled with warmth, for both children and their families.
So we created Storybrooke with that feeling at its heart. A place where curiosity is encouraged, kindness is part of everyday life and children are supported to grow in confidence, in their own time, in their own way.
Today, Storybrooke is more than just a centre. It's a small, owner-operated, welcoming community built on connection, trust and care. We would truly love to welcome your family and invite you to come and experience it for yourself.
Warmly, Linda and Charbel (and our three little storymakers)

We introduce each educator by name, role and qualification once they agree to be featured.

Hi, I'm Katie and I'm an educator at Storybrooke. I've worked in childcare for seven years.
I love what I do because I'm impacting positively on little lives, and I know I'm making a big difference. If I can spark a thought about what they would love to grow up and be, I would love to think that I sparked that in their little heads.
I also love children with additional needs. That is a huge passion of mine, because I always think everyone should get a chance. Some people say they can't do something, when I always believe there is always a way.
This is where little stories begin, and this is Storybrooke. I can't wait to meet you on a tour.
